I'm Ms. Do-Vay

I'm truly not your average hairstylist. My love for hair goes beyond the chair. Helping people has always been my passion. And to make women feel and look beautiful on the inside out is what gives me so much joy.

 

But my journey into the hair industry wasn't easy!!

At the age 12 I found the love for hair. I would do different styles on myself. But little did I know that my first client would be my grandmother Glady's Johnson. She would call me to come over to do different styles on her hair. She was my best critic. She would tell me what I needed to work on and what I had perfected. But I never seen the greatness in myself that everyone else was seeing. Everyone would tell me I have a gift for doing hair and that I had growing hands. For years I did'nt feel like doing hair was something I was supposed to be doing. My grandmother would always make sure that she told me that I needed to be in Beauty college.

Years went by I then became a mother of three boys and decided to go to college for Automotive Service Management. I went for one year and it did'nt feel like that's where I was supposed to be. Hair always made it's way back into my life. Someone would always call me to do their hair.

 

When my grandmother passed all I could hear was her saying that I needed to be in beauty school. Looking at her pictures and seeing the different hairstyles I was doing on her without any training and being self taught really hit me and let me see the greatness within myself.

 

I enrolled into beauty college , graduated and straight out of beauty college I became a business owner in my own salon suite. Then I created my brand Ms. Do-Vay. The name Ms. Do-Vay came from my birth name and a couple of nicknames that was given to me by my family. I'm absolutely love and adore my clients. I love doing and taking care of people's hair.  Ms. Do-Vay is a Healthy hair specialist and colorist who's number one focus is Healthy, strong,  beautiful hair. While providing a relaxing private one of a kind hair experience. I am Ms.Do-Vay the one of a kind Professional Hair Stylist.
